That case is big enough for your Motherboard, but it have no case fan.
Get one at the front and one at the back and make sure they come with screws or you already have fan screws

Are you saying to buy one fan for the front of the case and one for the back? I don't have any fan screws.

Is the power supply okay?

Edit: I think intel P43 chipset will be release very soon (last time I heard is end of May), don't know if you want to wait.

Power supply OK.
Some fan does not come with screws, like those black extra value one.

One fan at the back for exhaust is a must. The one at the front for intake is up to you. It does enhance the case ventilation.
As ordering online, personally will pay extra £1-2 for another fan in case you need it. You will found your local store/ maplin sell them double of the price at ebuyer

I'm definitely happy to get a couple of fans, but which ones? I honestly wouldn't know where to start.

Well, apart from here: http://www.ebuyer.com/store/Components/cat/Cooling-Fans

So that would be for the motherboard? What difference is there between the P43 and the Intel P35 Express / Intel ICH9?

The major different from the MOBO you choose is southbridge ICH9 and PCI-E x16 1.1, while P43 have southbridge ICH10 (supporting AHCI); PCI-E x16 2.0

I don't know if it worth waiting...

For the fan, I mean case fan, not cpu fan

Your case spec:
HOW MANY FANS CASES CAN ACCOMMODATE AND SIZE AND LOCATION
---1x8omm or 92mm or 120mm fans in the front of case.
---1x92mm cm 80mm fan in the rear of the case.

E8400 works better than Q6600 on games.
Many ppl comment Asus mobo is hotter than Gigabyte.

I'm trying to make the system a little more future proof, as well as gaining a little bit.

I understand the Q6600 is no better for gaming, however it should work well for use with Photoshop and Cubase. I've never been a hardcore gamer. I will probably buy Call Of Duty 4, but outside of that I doubt I'd do much. GTA IV if/when it comes out, I guess.

I was told on another forum that the P5K is better than the DS3R. Do you disagree?
