I'm new at building, but i was wondering what i need to do if the i/o panal does not match up with the motherboard's panal? do i need to choose different case and/or motherboard? thanks.

The motherboard will come with it's own if it's not standar

*edit*

Do you have the stuff? I mean unless your case is very old, it should match up or just pop out very easilly. No reason you couldn't run without the plate, either.

yea, i have the stuff, it's the pate on the tower that doesn't match up. like the usb plugins are in a different location on the mother board than they are on the plate, and the audio plugins on the motherboard are horizontal, and on the tower plate the are vertical...stuff like that. so it's ok to not have that plate in there?

Yeah its fine, its just for looks and not getting more dust in your PC. What motherboard do you have?

When you buy a motherboard it should come with a panel that you can put into your case. The panel that is currently on the case should just pop out, when you pop that one out pop in the new one that came with your mobo.
