Right I used to have a crappy old I-pod but today I got a new I-pod video however I still have an older version of I tunes which the new i pod is not compatible with I tried downloading the new I Tunes 7 but it says I cant because it detects the old one yet it is not lalowing me to delete the old I tunes. any suggestions?

The same thing happened a friend's PC, it say's something about Quicktime, right? Try going into Add/Remove Programs and remove Itunes and Quicktime and then delete the Program Files(Itunes), the use the Itunes disc that came with your Ipod to install the new program.
