I tried dual-booting Ubuntu with Windows 7, forgetting to partition my hard drive and I didn't think to do it at the time so, when I went through the process of installing Ubuntu on my hard drive (I originally had Windows 7 on it, before all of this happened) and started up my computer again, I got this:

White area = stuff I got rid of cause it was just blank.

It says the following:

error: no such device: 23b2aa53-0a92-4f7f-a186-a47f667753c1
grub rescue> _

The underscore indicates that I can start typing.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them or know of any that's had this happen?

It won't let me boot from the Ubuntu Live CD I have either and I tried my flash drive but not luck their either. I don't know what to do and when I tried dual-booting that was the first time I'd ever done it.

My dad gets home from Taiwan in 4-5 weeks maybe more (business trip) and I don't think he'll know how to fix it either since to me it looks like an Ubuntu/Linux/Unix thing.

. . . It won't let me boot from the Ubuntu Live CD I have either and I tried my flash drive but not luck their either. . .

Did you try repeatedly hitting F8 as soon as you turn it on? It should give you a BIOS screen so you can change the startup boot device to your CD or USB instead of the hard drive.
