I spent ages downloading it!

I've just downloaded a free version of Far cry, it took me about 3 hours to do, then I had to make a Ubi account and THEN it told me I need to live in the US!:mad:. Upon installation, it asks me my Ubi username and pass. I was wondering whether there is a way to trick it into thinking i live in the us. I've already tried making an american ubi account with a US zip code and I've used the local area connection thing to change my Ip, but then it just says 'internal error' Any ideas? :confused:

Free version of Far Cry? Doubt that's legal.

On September 1, 2007, Ubisoft released a single player-only version of the game as ad-supported freeware on FilePlanet[2]. According to Ubisoft, the offer is no longer available.

It looks like there was a legit free version at one point, but it's not being offered anymore.
