i think i got a problem but not sure with my laptop

hi all,

so recently i got a nice laptop lenovo with a pentium duo core @ 2.10ghz with 4gb ram build on gfx card i think,

anyways is this a good laptop? i heard lenovo is good is this specs good?

recently i been smelling like burning wire but what was when i use to use the laptop and leave it on my bed on like a retart so i guess the fan was not working now i took it off and past 2 days been using it on my desk and i dont smell anything no more but it dose blow out a lot of hot air. the temps on cpu is good always around like 45c when i browsing the net, say if i go and watch a video then this laptop sounds like a beast is is roaring if you know what im saying.

is this good should i cal warrenty?
 
If you just got the laptop new, then I would definitely call them and explain your situation and see what they say.

Its never a good idea to leave a laptop on a bed or couch, as it restricts airflow and causes it to overheat. Playing a video should not make the fan whir like that. What temps is the CPU at after/while playing a video?
