I think my memory is bad..

Hey, recently i brought a new memory upgrade of 1GB. Previously, i had a 256mb stick and i had no problems with exept my PC was slow. I brought this 1GB stick hoping my PC would run flawlessly but unfortunatly i seem to get that whenever i play a game, it either quits to the desktop after 30 mins or so of playing, or i get immense lag on games. I'm not sure if this is memory related or what? my specs are:

ATI Radeon 9600XT
1.8 GHz intel celeron processor
1GB RAM (Single module)
Windows XP SP2

My other stick was made by the same people and it had pretty much the same specs but i removed it because it was adding extra lag to my PC. My BIOS driver is at 01/10/06
 
I changed the module into DIMM slot 1 but the problem persists. :mad: Battlefield 2 Lags like crazy extremely low framerate

That 1.8GHz Celeron processor ain't too grand. Cause BF2 would like a 2.4GHz processor and your's is just above the 1.7GHz minimum, you can't expect really good performance on any medium-high settings.
 
no you dont get it, when the maps load and the pop up screen tells you about the map, there is no lag. its only when the bots join and when i spawn it just lags like hell. even if i look at the floor.
