So today i tried overclocking my computer for the first time. Before i tried it and it didn't work out too well. well i gave it another try and i got it! my E4500 was stock at 2.2GHZ and i clocked it to a max of 2.97GHZ

I first raised the FBS by 50 and increased by 50.

I first got to 2.6GHZ:

Quick Question. What I'm running at right now, would it be considered at 2.6? or 2.7?

wow it only reached 2.9Ghz? That processor is a good oc'er its should surpass 3.0Ghz easily.

I saw a number of people with e4500 at like 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 but they were all using 9x multiplier not 11 and voltage at like 1.32-1.38

Pretty good if you ask me..

well that was on stock voltages... but whats a good multiplier to use and whats a good voltage? im like literally new. like just started like 5 hours ago

Alot of us have a 9x multiplier restriction.

Not that 11 is bad-try a 9x multiplier and see what you can do.

You can raise the volts a bit..but do that once you raise fsb enough that you cant boot in anymore at 9x.

p.s. if that is stock voltage thats a great overclock without having to change it.
