You need more RAM than 512mb. Ram isnt expensive, get 2 gigs of something.

What about the power supply?

In order to utilize DX10 like you said above, you have to use Vista OS.

well, i left it at 512 becuase the computer i have right now has 4gb (2gbx2) in it...so i would just move that to the new one...

whats the difference between 32bit vista and 62bit vista..both are offered...

and are the processor/motherboard good? will they do the trick?

You will have to have vista for DX10, also the 8400GS is a $40 video card. You would get lucky to play games at very low settings without lag.

The only way your going to get anything for your money is to build it your self :(

32 bit max's out with 3.5 gbs of RAM so go with the 64 if you plan on throwing 4gbs into this system.

if you get 32 bit vista, you better be drunk when you order it, that would be the only excuse, and prolly not even then, you need 64 bit vista, you will need a 64 bit processor or there is no point to building a new computer

ha, drunk when i order it...i like that...

does anyone have any builds for about 500? ... like exact products?

would this be any good? i would order it without the ram/video card (you can customize everything) and then get a good vid card...so..is the mobo/cpu and all of that stuff solid? or is it crappy too...

is 4GB of 667mhz ram better than 2gb of 800mhz?

you guys are freakin helpful!

I too am trying to build my first gaming rig and i am using the cyberpowerpc.com website.

I am a little confused about the network card:
Is the Intel Pro Gigabite 10/100/1000 Network Card a good pick compared to the ONBOARD 10/100 NETWORK CARD? The difference in price is about $26.
