Looks ok to me :good:

The phenom won't be quite as fast as the i5 but i think you should still be able to max it.

Then I would go for this:

CPU $189
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727

$25 for 200Mhz.....

this is all assuming the op will not be OCing

Honestly, this build will blow you away boldbrian, and it's well under budget with the monitor and keyboard/mouse to boot!

Nah...the 955 is a better choice. He can make up the 200MHz difference by simply bumping the multiplier up by one. That's a very small overclock...it'll be fine on stock cooling.

How did I miss this mobo??

$110 ($10 rebate)
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO 790X (Crossfire 8x/8x) (supports DDR3 1800)

worth the money saved?

The other one has x16/x16 crossfire, and a few other better features...I'd stay with it.

^ This is good

If you want to spring for it though, this is a better mouse/keyboard set for gaming:

Mouse:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826105255

Keyboard:

haven't used that mouse so I don't know... I like mine, no complaints (the one I posted)

but I must say I lovvvve my Logitech WAVE keyboard

Your keyboard and mouse are great quality, don't get me wrong, but they're meant for general internet type stuff. The mouse I posted has programmable macro buttons and a higher DPI, and the keyboard has programmable buttons and a flat layout.
