I want the best gaming pc that fits my budget.

I have a budget of $800 for a gaming PC, and I want a link to a PC I can buy for around that price that will give me the best performance ever. Things I look for in performance:

  • Able to play smoothly on the heaviest of graphics in games.
  • Enough cooling so that I have no worry of it ever breaking down, burning out, exploding, or even needing a rest after 5+ hours of gaming.
  • The most sound reduction possible.
  • A decent memory, preferably 16 GB or more.
  • Runs Windows 7.
  • I have no need for a mouse, keyboard, or monitor. Just the tower please.

I am willing to go over $800 if it is needed to fit all my above expectations, but I prefer it to be around $800.

Please help me :) I'm not good with computers, and I just want to buy one that's good for me.

What type of games are you planning on doing? $800 isn't much for an OEM computer especially for gaming. You will get more for your money if you build one yourself.

I don't know the type of games that I'll be playing, but I always end up stumbling into games that I can't run, so I never want to run into that problem. Games I have tried to play but failed because of graphics and fps issues are as follows: Minecraft, COD, SW:TOR, Skyrim, as well as most of the popular mmorpgs.

Also, if you think I can save money on building one myself, then please tell me how and what parts I should use. I want to get the most from my money.

So... How do I put it all together? And how do I ensure safety when it's all being shipped to me? I don't want to break anything :( And what about cooling? Doesn't it need cooling?

Do you know of anyone that builds computers that can do it for you? Its pretty simple to do though. The parts from newegg come in boxes so shipping is not an issue.

The case comes with a 120 mm front and rear cooling fan. The stock heatsink for the cpu will suffice. If later, you decide you want to overclock your processor then you will need an aftermarket cooler for the processor.

If you want to tackle building it yourself, we can help you.

Search YouTube for tutorials on piecing together your first PC. Thats what I did a couple years ago and these guys answered any other questions along the way. Give it a shot it's fun... But take your time!

Thank you so much for the advice. I've looked up all the hardware you gave me and it all seems like it's exactly what I'm looking for. I plan on purchasing it, and when I get it up and running, I will most definitely come back here to spread the good news! But if I need any help putting it together that I can't find online or through my friends, I will be sure to ask it here :)
