I want to get a new computer. This will probably be the last one I will buy so I want a good one with:
1. Lots of RAM (at least 16 GB). I hear the newest Windows version coming out will handle 16 GB. Is that true?
2. I want a high quality FAST CPU. I am using a quad core 2.83 Intel now, so naturally I would want to go above that.
3. I want a high end graphics card with dedicated RAM. Which is best, Nividia or Radeon? How can you tell if you are getting shared or dedicated RAM? What do you look for in the specs?
4. I want at least 750 to one TB HD
5. I want at least 10 USB ports (I do not want to use a HUB).
6. I want the quietest coolest computer I can find in my price range.
7. A DVD writer is not necessary, but ok.
8. Touchscreen is not necessary, but ok.
What does liquid cool mean? Do this mean it will not feel like I have a stove on in my room? I will be using it for 3D rendering, heavy graphics, and animation. I have one here now that has 32 GB of RAM, and very fast but also very hot and very noisy. How someone could make a computer that costs over $6000, with so many nice features, and then allow the noise and heat to ruin it is beyond me. I never used it over 4 hours total because of noise and heat. Now it has set so long it is probably ruined.
I do not want to spend over about $3000 total. I want to buy it at a place that offers a 30 return policy, so if it is not what I want, I can send it back and trade it for another.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
