I wish my when my class was working on computer, my class was more exciting like that. The worst thats ever happend is someone stole all the mouse balls. Took the teachers a couple days to figure it out. lol

I've done that, it turned the PC off. Switching it back everything still worked.

Really? I've seen it blow up PSU's when power was on and u switched it. Newer ones might have some kind of instant-off protection?

You know a good way to mess it up? Burn it! Take a floppy disk, bust it open, but gently so you can put it back together, then get some matches and a nail file, and file all the red part off the match head and put it on the disc inside the flopppy, close it up once you've put a lot in there, and put it in the drive, go to my computer, and open the disc, when it tries to read it, it will spark, igniting the disc, and hopefully burning you're computer. haha, try it on friends computer's too!! just kidding, hahah

Oh and to hold the filings to the disc, try some nail polish remover, just a little bit, and it will stick better than if it were dry. also adding to the fiery experience.

It wasn't very new. IIRC it was a Pentium III system but it may have even been a PII

Someone's been watching too much Richard Dean Anderson... ;)

You also could throw some tin foil on the mobo, start it up, whatch some sparks, take out the tin foil, and tell your boss you started up Word and it just turned off. Also if your company isnt too computer geniuses you could take the power switch, rip the cable out of the switch then melt the plastic and stick the wire back in.

Yea when my friend built his comp. He plugged in the power cable, turned the switch on. It made a freakin' loud Bang:eek: and lite up the room. The PSU had a hole abou 1 inch round, it looked like it molten metal went threw it.:)

It would have been better to steal it. Then report it that it was stolen, and then you have yourself a new PC.

Yeah once had a 230v 3 phase at 160 amps runniin through a regular plug for a welder and had a friend plug in an old P2 to test it and BANG!! It blew a hole in the psu like said above but "welded the psu to the psu mounts on the super old case that was now black.
