As the title says...any ideas anyone?
I have the ASUS p6t7 motherboard..I have 1-2 drives I really want to use, and 2-3 more I would add on if it is possible..

what slot?

I notice there are all these slots and I am getting confused now...(pcie, pci..)...there are cards that say pci and when I look at them they do not line up with the pci/pcie slots on my motherboard (asus p6t7 supercomputer motherboard)..

PCI slots are universal, and any computer made in the last ten years will have PCI slots. PCI-E slots look different than PCI, but that's not what you need for this type of card.

isn't pci-e the smaller ones?....see my board specs says it has pci-e..but the slots are the big ones...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131390
I bought this card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816132004
and it doesnt seem to fit...the "slot" is towards the front end of the computer while on the motherboard the slot is towards the back end of the computer...

I feel like I am missing something here...

I would like a solution that will work with both optical drives as well as HDD's...

Edit:
Ok I ordered this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822998001
and this for good measure:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812104045

I hope it works just as it says and I hope it does not break easily...(3 year warranty anyway? but I wonder how honorable they are about that)...

Is that the motherboard you have if so then all the Slots all 7 or them are PCIe which means you don't have any PCI slots. I might be wrong about this but i'm pretty sure that PCI cards can be use in PCIe slots.

hmm I know that the card I have right here says it is PCI and it will not fit...as I stated above.....any other ideas?

Sorry I'm out of ideas I still wondering why your motherboard does not have PCI or PCIex1 slot. I'm not sure why anybody would need 7 PCIe x8/x16 slots.
