I would like some help Overclocking for the first time

I am currently running CPU-Z and cupid as advised by the Overclocking guide suggested.
I will dl the one you suggested if it is a better read, would you say it is?

the CPU temerature we are looking for is the CORE temp(s). There are various temperature sensors in a CPU but we want core temperatures only.
HWmonitor is a good program to check out as it gives pretty much every system temp and voltage reading.

I think you'll find that it's a much more flexible utility all around.

I co-wrote the OC guide and stand by CPU-Z and HWMonitor as useful software, but @beers knows his stuff so I'd say he's giving you good advice. I've never made use of the Intel utility so can't comment on it's functionality.
