i3-380M a good buy?

Hi all,

Im thinking on getting a laptop and i dont know if to choose the i3 380m or the i5-450m as i see they are both clock the same and i dont need the turbo boost..

Would the 380m be a better buy than the 450m?

Not taking into account turbo boost, the 380M is better due to the (slightly) higher clockspeed. But turbo-boost has a real-world advantage in laptops.

And the ever important question: What do you want this laptop to do?

if you really dont need turbo boost for anything go with the i3.

however, if it doesnt cost that much more i would just go with the i5
