i3, i5, and i7

Big deal. I just don't think it's enough for people to be upset about.

Most wont be, the bulk of Intel and AMD for that matter sales are OEM, most people with OEMs when they upgrade they just buy another Dell, the old one just gets gave to someone or a yard sale. :D

Yeah, I mentioned that earlier, but it's up to us to stop people like that from doing so, and convince them to let us build them for them. :D

Lol, true true true. But the question is, how soon is it when intel might pull another socket switch? To us enthusiasts it matters alot more than the general population, and Alot of enthusiasts who invested in 1366 will be pretty pissed off if they switch from 1366 to a new socket to compete with amd(when amd releases phenom III or whatever it will be called with quad channel memory).

I make money on them. I guess 95% of the repair work I do is on OEM computers. And man do I hate some of those cases! The ones I build hardly ever come back unless its some kind of upgrade.

Idk.

I have a socket 1366 and I'm not pissed.

I think it's like saying a Ferrari will suddenly become slow when something faster comes out.?

Lol, sometimes i think OEM's figure how much room they need for the components, then subtract 25% from that. Dell is the worst for that...Gateway/Emachines have at least enough room to work in though.

Had a guy with a Sony, had a burner go out. The inside was so compact there was no way getting it out/in from the back. Had to pull the front panel off to get the drives in and out. I bet it took me a hour to figure out how to get that Panel off without breaking it. Was a hair of throwing it in the back yard.
