i3 overclock

hey guys just wondering about overclocking an i3? dont plan on doing anything yet but would it just fry up seeing as its a cpu/gpu? thanks!

I would suggest you start with reading the Overclocking 101 on the forum

It is a nicely written guide and even though a bit dated but will clear you concerns regarding overclocking. Then I would suggest using a processor specific guide, to overclocking for the basic data reference and then trying your hand at it.
Also an after market cooler is recommended, I would not recommend overclocking on the stock HSF.

also aren't there issues with fsb overclocking and since he has an i3 isn't that all he can do?

Yep, assuming its a sandy bridge, i3 = no overclock that is worth it. FSB overclocking on SB is very very unstable.

Yeah well we first need to know everything about the system. What model I3, what motherboard, what ram, what power supply, what video card, etc.
