i5 3570 vs AMD FX 8350?

Just get whichever is cheapest. Either will be fine. What do you intend to do with them anyway? If just browsing the web, forget them both and go for an FX-4300 or an i3.
 
The 3570 will rape the 8300 - directly answering your question.

But as Spirit said, your needs may not require a 3570.
 
Unless he's into gaming or editing I don't see why he'd need either anyway. But yeah, as I asked before, what are you doing with this system?
 
Intel's core processors seriously pack some power. I always recommend them since my i5 2500k. It can really take some punishment, I run it as 4.3Ghz standard and have been able to push it to 4.8Ghz stable and 5.1Ghz unstable. Although amazingly it did boot into windows!!!

Anyway, I would go for 3570 hands down.
