I just overclocked my cpu to 3.67 ghz but when I log in window 7 and it doesn't show me the right clock speed it show me the default 2.67 ghz clock speed.. I don't really understand why it's 2.67 ghz on window 7 and 3.67 in the bios.. please tell me what I did wrong ^^

Its probably because Intel Speedstep is enabled,When your not needing so much power it lowers the cpu frequency to reduce power usage and heat :)

Run a game or something, then Alt+tab out of it and check what frequency its running when your gaming. :)

Intel speedstep is that included in i7 processors as well ?

Mine is clocked but always shows the same ghz whether im gaming or just reading something.

It is in the bios.

W7 still shows my i5-750 at stock speed plus the new max speed minus turbo next to it under control panel> system. But if I go to device manager- processor it does not show. Forget W7 and just use GPUZ or even core temp to see where it is running.

Speedstep has never sent me back to stock speed though. In auto it never throttles back, it only works if I manually enable it on my MOBO.

That's the point. you either enable or disable it in the BIOS and it will lower the speed when it's enabled or run at the rated speed 24/7 with it off.
