i7-2600 vs i7-960 and motherboards?

I was advised to look into the sandybridge processor on a 1155 socket as opposed to the i7-960 on 1366. I understand that 1366 is a dead standard.

Since I'm having trouble finding a solid mobo for the sandybridge setup though, I was wondering what everyones thoughts were on the matter.

PROS: Supports triple channel RAM, up to 3-way crossfirex/sli, two pciex16 slots that will run at x16 if I only use those slots.
CONS: Doesn't look like it has bluetooth support, 1366 socket, less max RAM @24gb

i7-2600 (note: cannot afford to upgrade to 2600k )

CONS: Dual channel RAM instead of tri, underclocks RAM, when both pcie16x slots are used they both go down to x8 (if I understand correctly)

What do you guys think? Do you have any other suggestions as far as the mobo or processor go? What info am I missing out on here?

the asus P8p67 Deluxe would be the best option.

If you aren't overclocking then you can go with H67 series Mobo which will save you money and I think you should go with Sandy Bridge only rather than first generation CPUs.

The core i7 2600k is a really good processor.Here are some performance stats.

A P67 Motherboard will do good.
