i7-4820K Ivy Bridge-E or i7-4770k Haswell?

Well this is my situation.im upgrading my rig and really like an i7.im building a whole new setup so I was thinking socket 2011 with a 4820k should I go with my gut or grab a 1150 board and 4770k. ill be gaming bf4-DayZ-and a lot of high fps games and ofcourse running some benchmarks. ill also be getting R9 card and suggestions would be great! thanks

if your gaming, just get a 1150 socket 4770k, dont bother with 2011.

Unless you plan to go with two video cards and a high-resolution multiple-monitor setup, go with Haswell.

Dont expect any significant performance increase over the 2500K with 1 GPU either...

Did you end up getting anything or receiving the 290?

With the build in your sig I would probably wait for Haswell-E and upgrade to the newly revised 2011 socket and DDR4 which should be in Q4 of this year.
