The time has come,I went into the Bios and upped it to 3.6Ghz...left the voltage alone to see what would happen,i think its on Auto ....however within about a min of Prime95 these are my temps...

as you can see from the "High temps" I honestly dont think this cooler can cope with an i7,Its okay idle but as soon as i do something its like 40c ..il probably end up selling it and getting something like a Noctua NH-D14 or Prolimatech Megahalem, and as its very cold in my room right now i dont think the CoolIT is good enough.

I stopped the run when it hit those temps because i read somewhere that you dont want it going over 75c.

So appreciate any help guys, 3.6Ghz HT on...what would you advise?

I turned HT off to see if the temps went down by much and maybe 1 or 2c..that was it :/

Im compleatly new the the 1156 & DDR3 platform :P

I've heard the ECO isn't all it's cracked up to be and it's pwned by cheaper air coolers

I was expecting better temps to be honest,And considering the ECO is suppose to be better than the Corsair H50..i wonder what the H50 is like :P

Not a biggie though,Il just sell the ECO...its fine for stock clocked systems but when you start pushing the Cpu the Eco isnt good enough. :/

Should have gotten a decent air cooler :P

I am...probably the Prolimatech Megahalem (Heard this beats a True Lapped),or i might get Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme...not sure yet,The Megahalem seems really expensive.

But i suppose if you want performance you have to pay for it :)

I need a cooler that will still give me good temps on a 3.6-3.8 Overclock.

The best air coolers out now that support LGA 1156 are as far as I know:
Noctua NH-D14
Thermalright Silver Arrow
Prolimatech Megahalems (fan is not included in the package)

The Silver Arrow does seem to have some issues, which are brought up in this review.

The Noctua NH-D14 was easy to install and it's quiet. It even comes with 2 adapters to decrease the voltage so that the fans run at a lower RPM. You just have to check their website and make sure the cooler is compatible with the case, motherboard and memory you have.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys,Il look into all of those.

Ive also come across one i had never heard of before called the Spire Thermax 2 eclipse.
From what ive read its quite impressive, and around £35-37 and thats including 2 fans.

I tried overclocking today to 3.7Ghz,Idle temps are fine but the load temps are just too high at 75c -80c....

I hope the fans in this review (2:20 ->) are defective, because that high-pitch noise would drive me nuts. But the cooler does perform well, so it could very well be a great cooler with silent fans.
