well yesterday i got all my stuff as in my sig, apart from the heatsink.

Basically all i wanted to ask when i place my cpu then i place my heat sink the intel cpu cooler that has the compound on it, does it dry off or something? cause i had to take both the cpu and cool cause i done a mistake. any harm done to the compound? cause i'm hopeing to put it together together without and hassels.

Did you run your system already. The heat of the processor will harden the past somewhat from teh stock cooler. But if you just put it on and took it off - you could be ok.

I'd clean off the old thermal compound and put a new coat on. Just takes some 90+ % rubbing alcohol - and you can get some Arctic Silver 5 at Radio shack for about 5 bucks.

If you decide not to clean it off - I'd make sure to Download Core Temp - to monitor the temp of your CPU cores to make sure they're not running too warm.
