i7 Caseless Desktop Build, ~$1600

As a side note, I've built several computers before; my current system is an i7 920 with a GTX 580, both running on water. Right now I'm looking to build another desktop. I do a reasonable amount of gaming\video editing\general computer use. I need a SLI\Crossfire setup to run 3+ monitors. My current build (thrown together in about 30 minutes, so no guarantees that's it's perfect):

I narrowly chose the 2600k over 2500k due to hyperthreading; I plan to push it to around 4.6-4.8, or whatever I can get with my cooler without destroying it in the long run with high voltage\temps.
 
guessing ur using the hdd with os off your old system since they aren't there, and unless you're doing serious multitasking then you can go i5 2500k and upgrade video, and idk about mobo so someone else can say about that if there's anything wrong
 
Windows doesn't even utilize 16GB so there's no instance, using windows, that 16GB of RAM will do anything.

What? Sorry to be kind of a jerk to someone giving advice (and I do appreciate the comments), but that's completely incorrect. I run multiple VMs along with other memory-hungry processes; my current main desktop has 24 GB, and according to Task Manager, just under 20 GB of it is currently in use - as soon as 8GB sticks become widely available, I plan to upgrade to 48 GB.

The desktop I'm building won't be used as strenuously as my current one, but I will probably be running VMs on it as well and for $68, I wouldn't even consider halving my available RAM.

As for the card, I've heard multiple stores that there's no real difference between the 1 GB and 2 GB variants, and I can find the 1 GB one at least $60 cheaper at the moment - I'll look into it further, but I haven't seen compelling evidence that the 2 GB is significantly better.

I'll look at a few other PSUs, but since this system doesn't have a case, extraneous cables really get in the way and I need a modular PSU.

As for the hard drive, the SSD is only for windows\programs; I will be running several 2TB drives (which I already own) in RAID0 for data storage as well as an alternate array in RAID1 for important data\backups. I'm paying a little extra for a MB with 8 SATA ports, but they will be put to good use.
 
i dont think so, since the highest i've seen and this was on a 3-400 buck mobo, only accepted 32gb max, so 48 would be nice, but that need 6 8gb sticks and i'v never seen more than 4
