i7 memory speed

Quick and simple question, does the core i7 920 allow DDR3 memory at 1600MHz without it being overclocked? Please only give answers if your sure as I don't want to fry my system. The memory in question is the Corsair Dominator series made specifically for the i7. Thanks much.

Yes. However, i7 is a little sensitive on memory voltages, and you'll have make sure that you can run the sticks at those speeds with acceptable volts (I think the limit was 1.5v). Going over this limit kills the chip quickly...
