I7 Running hot?

Hey guys I just recently built my system and speedfan is showing that the CPU is idling at ~43c. Is this normal for an I7 950? Or is this too hot?

No overclock and stock heatsink/fan
 
That's a perfectly fine temperature to be running at. I believe they're actually fine until they reach around 80C. The cooler you run it at, the longer it'll last, so if you're concerned about the temperature a high quality CPU fan is pretty cheap.

Yes those temps are fine my i7 930 runs at 45*c 42*c 45* 41* most of the time I am soon though (once my money goes through paypal) going to pick up a megahalem and a couple of fans and see what difference it makes. :)
 
just picked up an h50, installed it using the stock corsair fan and used the stock thermaltake case fan as a push fan so i have a push/pull setup. Idles around 30*c and after about 10 mins of prime95 it pretty much peaked around 76*c. Awesome cooler for anyone looking for an aftermarket cpu cooler.
 
ok this is kinda interesting....ive been running prim95 for about 15-20 mins now and its hitting about 80, which is fine. The weird thing is that cpuz is showing me at 3.2ghz when at stock speed it should be at 3.06......wth?
