Hi, iam looking to get a new PC, iam on an old DELL dimension 4100 right now :P

But I have a graffix card I would like to use in my new PC. An ATI 9600 XT 128 MB AGP card.

Thats really the only hardware I want to salvage out of this PC, The CD drives are both dead and the hardrive is only 40 MB

But I have no experince in building a PC...

Does dell still sell PC's with AGP mother boards that I could upgrade to or only PCI express cards ?

Also if I buy a "barebones kit" do you have to put everything together like the Motherboard and the processor because that whole process really scares me.

Iam looking for a PC with a nice fast processor like 3.0 + intel or AMD i dont care but I want about an 80 gig hardrive and I want to be able to upgrade to about 2 gigs of ram/ I think I need a CD/DVD drive and a new windows install.

Barebones are basically only case, motherboard cpu and power supply. You can get system's put together for you and then just slap in your card once you get it. I saw some systems on www.avadirect.com that still have some AGP on it. I suggest giving them a call.

I really need to upgrade for World of Warcraft because this old PC is not good for raiding and doing Player vs Player combat.

Too much lag!!! lol

Thanks for link ill check them out.

Just build it yourself, it's not that hard, you just need a bit of common sense :). As for motherboards with both agp AND pci-express, there are some, but they're not that great. I would suggest you scrap the 9600xt as well and start with a new fresh C2D build.

Just my opinion here, but why keep the old card? I'm not that good with ati cards and how they label them. but isnt that one quite old? When you build you computer, why not go with the more modern PCI-E slot mobo and GPU. You will have a much better frame rate in WoW :) Also aren't MMO's all about the system memory and cpu?

I could scrap the old card too I guess...

Is PCI express really that much faster and better ?

I was just trying to keep my price down by saving the graffix card.
