IBM EtherJet not working

I have a windows 98 laptop (about 10 years old) with a IBM 10/100 EtherJet CardBus Adapter

I plug it in (it claims to be plug and play) and it does not work. I have tried both slots, restarting, etc and it still does not work. I tried the same stuff after installing the driver from the website (hard to get it onto a non-internet pc) and it still does not work

what can I do?
 
try to look at the manual if it is compatible to windows 95 operating system. some device claim plug and play but unfortunately it is not compatible to some operating system which supports PnP.

Is it showing up in Device Manager?
