IBM T41 Dual Monitor

First post, hope I'm putting this in the right place!

So I'm getting myself a T41 in the next week or two for work. I tend to switch between windows a lot though when I'm doing assignments so the idea of being able to connect a secondary monitor tempts me. Is this possible to do with the T41 without spending any extra money? I have a desktop monitor spare so i don't have to worry about that.

Any help/tips would be much appreciated.

Just plug the cable for the monitor into the laptop.

Granted of course the laptop has either VGA or HDMI. It should have one or both.
