ibuypower computer brand?

Hello, I just joined the forum today. I think this forum is great for people wanting to know and research all about computers, hardware, software and peripherals.

I am unlearned with Computers for the most part and just purchased a new computer today from Costco. I'm not much of a gamer, however I do enjoy playing once in a while and getting the best system within reason makes sense. With the ability to upgrade later, as needed.

I am confused from researching reviews of computer brand and types. It seems many reviews are conflicting on the same brand and types. Quite a few reviews seem artificial, as if competitors are bad mouthing brands, as well as others defending certain brands. I purchased an ibuypower computer with Skylake i-core7 6700k processor. I am unsure how this brands reputation is compared to say, Micro Velocity or Alienware? This brand seems to have a good processor, Asus motherboard, water cooled 600 watt power supply. 16 GB system memory, 1 TB hard drive, 128 SSD and MSI GTX 970 graphics card. For the price I paid ($1400) seemed like a good value. I understand that building your own nets the best value, unfortunately I don't have the experience or time to do this. It seems unless Computers are configured directly from manufacturers, every store that sells these brands, have their own versions. Retail stores seem to use their own versions of Boards, Graphics, Cards, memory capacity and brands as well as peripherals. Probably cheaper items, so as to profit on what they sell.

Can anyone give an opinion on ibuypower or recommend reputable brands for that price point?

You are correct. Technically it only takes a couple hours from putting all the parts in the case and installing windows.

What power supply is in it? Should have been a 250gb SSD drive, as you'll fill up that 120gb in no time flat.
water cooled 600 watt power supply

Water cooled power supply????

Hello, John!

That's just it, I don't have the time right now, between job, family and other commitments! Not to mention, experience. I do like the idea of the merchants liberal return policy and extended warranty. I would think if there are issues, it would happen earlier then later and I could always consider an alternative.

I am aware of the SSD, that can be easily replaced when the time comes! Some nice prices on the Samsung EVO and Scan Disk extreme. So far, every pre built I've seen with comparable specs. That has more memory and SSD capacity, was 5x more then purchasing these top end drives, by themselves!

I see my goof, written as Water Cooled Power Supply. That would be shocking, literally.
