Hey guys, I have never built a computer stright from scratch but I know a good deal about it. However, I am one of those people who just want my computer in working order when i order it so i was thinking about ordering from Ibuypower. Does anyone have a any suggestions about them? I put together a pretty nice computer for about $1100. I have alot of parts i'm reusing from my old computer. I would noramlly just upgrade my current computer but its a Sony and I can't replace the PSU and its just really limiting.
Heres what I put together.

Case ( iBUYPOWER Ninja-918 ATX Mid-tower Case w/450W Power Supply Black )
Case Lighting ( Neon Light Blue )
Power Supply ( Enermax EG565P 535 Watt Power Supply [SLI-Ready] )
Processor ( [Socket-775] Intel® Pentium-4 Processor 640 [3.2GHz, 2MB Cache, 800MHz FSB, 64-Bit + HT Ready] )
Processor Cooling ( Certified CPU Fan and Heatsink )
Motherboard ( [DDR2] Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI-Pro nForce4 Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, IEEE-1394 Dual PCI-E MB )
Memory ( 1024 MB [512MB X2] DDR-400 PC3200 Memory Module Corsair-Value or Major Brand )
Video Card ( [PCI-Express 16x] Nvidia Geforce 6800XT 256MB w/DVI + TV Out Video )
Hard Drive ( 120 GB HARD DRIVES [S-ATA] Seagate 120 GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache Hard Drive )
2nd Hard Drive ( I'm using my old Harddrive, 200 gigs.)

CD/DVD Drive ( 16x DVD-ROM Drive - Sony Black )
CD-RW/DVD-RW Drive ( Using my old dvd burner, sony)
Sound Card ( using my audigy card)
Network Card ( Onboard LAN Network (Gb or 10/100) )
Flash Media Reader/Writer ( 12-In-1 Internal Flash Media Card Reader/Writer Black )
Operation System ( MS Windows XP Home Edition w/Service Pack-2 )
IEEE-1394 Fire Wire Card ( IEEE-1394 Firewire PCI Card w/Cable + Software )

Warranty ( Warranty Service iBUYPOWER Deluxe Warranty Package(Standard Warranty plus: First Year On-site Service and 24/7 Phone Support) )
Rush Service ( Rush Service Fee (not shipping fee) No Rush, Ship Out in 5~10 Business Days )

Basically, I just want to get your guys opinion. Is that a good deal for $1100? Or do you think I could find these parts for cheaper...significanly cheaper that is. Saving more than $200 would be signficant to me. Also, are these parts good? Thanks guys.

I am running an Ibuypower right now (system in my sig) and I have had no problems at all. Came quickly, everything I needed, hasnt crashed at all. A sound expirience.

I would check out www.newegg.com if i were you. I have made many purchases from there and i love everything about them.

he doesnt want to build his own. I've heard good and bad things about iBuyPower, check the better business bureau also.

This is what the BBB said:
"Our complaint history for this company shows the company gave proper consideration to complaints presented by the Bureau."

So it looks pretty good.

A close friend of mine ordered his computer from IBP about a month ago and received it last week. He says he loves it and that everything is perfect. I ordered mine last Thursday, so I'm hoping it ships out by Thanksgiving and is here shortly after. I saw ads for them in PC Gamer which is the reason I even thought about them. I did a little research on them and everything seems to be in order. Prices are a lot better than you can get anywhere else, and you can basically customize anything you want. I would advise to mess around starting with the computers they have on "special", because the core components are cheaper in them (for instance that computer cost me 1060, but if I hadn't used the amd 3500+ that was in a pc on special it would have been around 1100). I would ask and make sure that the warranty isn't void if you install your own harddrive, as I know that with dell if you install anything the warantee is automatically gone. Happy buying :)

I would think so but I'm unsure. Also something I forgot to mention to you, I would most definitely NOT go with the 6800xt. When I was looking into video cards I did a lot of research (looked for benchmarks etc.) I found that the 6800xt is just about as effective as the 6600gt for almost the same price (If I'm remembering correctly, dont hold me to it.) If you just search for 6800xt reviews on google you will be able to go through and see these things. As for your savings, the only thing I've really price compared to newegg is that power supply you're getting. Its like 110 on new egg and only an 80 dollar upgrade from the standard case powersupply on ibuypower (a great deal.) It's tough to say between building your own computer or ordering it, but as far as I can tell IBP seems to be pretty fair.

BE SURE to get "Professional Wiring for all cables" this makes the case have WAY better airflow since ibuypower is known for messy wiring jobs. I got pro. wiring and do not regret it.

i wouldnt think so b/c then y would motherboards offer PCI Express x1 and separate regular PCI slot? and that PSU is $88.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103512
but i agree with you that IBP is pretty fair. when i compared my custom to an IBP with almost the same specs, it came out that the IBP was only a few hundred more. (but then i wanted a 7800gtx 512mb which IBP didnt have so i chose to making my own)

Also it would be better getting the GS if you want a 6800 but it is a little more than the XT

Hmmm well well what uses PCI express 1x? Cause 2 are included on that mobo....but i have my sound card, USB 2 card, and wirless card that need to fit. And there are only 2 regular PCI slots.

No it isnt, PCI is about 5 times as long as PCIe 1x. I'm sure IBP will fugure something out though. My question is, why do you need an aditional USB hub? Most motherboards come with at least 4 USB slots, is that not enough?

well the additional is from my old setup. I have my digital camera, my usb for my psp, my mouse, and my wire for my phone and my bluetooth dongle. I guess I could use a ps/2 converter for the mouse, the psp doesn't have to stay in all the itme, plus the setup has a flashreader. ANd i think the mobo comes with 6....so it might work out. What uses pci 1x tho?

I think some wireless and network cards do... and maybe some SCISI controllers. I'm not sure though.

Whats the intent for the system?

Basically, I just want to get your guys opinion. Is that a good deal for $1100? Or do you think I could find these parts for cheaper...significanly cheaper that is. Saving more than $200 would be signficant to me. Also, are these parts good? Thanks guys.
1. Well to start with, the case, lighting and videocard dont mean much to me. Neither do the sony optical drives or the extra crap at the bottom
2. For $1100 i could buy a new system that outperforms what your buying and what you're adding to it. Consider the following

- AMD Athlon64 X2 4200 [S939, Manchester, ADA4200DAA5BV, $400]
- Sapphire 100129FB Radeon X800GTO Fireblade [$185]
- MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum [$125]
- pQI Turbo 2x512MB [CL2.5, $70 after $25 MIR]
- XClio 450W [12V@32A, $50]
- NEC 3540A [$40]
- Maxtor DiamondMax 10 250GB [16MB, $100]
- Maxtor DiamondMax 10 250GB [16MB, $100]
- Arctic Cooling Freezer64 [$30]

Sure I dont include the case (and rarely will ever in a spec) but there's tons of room to scale back not to mention i damn near destroyed the 'enhanced' spec you had. Easiest spot to scale back would be the CPU.

he doesnt want to build his own.
See his comment,
