icons appear on one video card, start menu appears on the other

Ok, i just recently purchased the NVIDIA Geforce FX 5200 PCI video card from the integrated card and installed it to my Emachines T2893 cpu. This is the first time i've upgraded the cpu. I have the most recent drivers for the card and it works just fine. My problem is, When i plug my cpu monitor into the new video card the background and the icons appear on there but no start menu, but when i plug it into the integrated card the start menu appears but no desktop icons. can anyone tell me what i can do to fix this.

You have to disable the integrated card in the BIOS when installing a new card.

It also sounds like a driver problem, try reinstalling the video card drivers, then restarting your computer.
