How can I verify that my new laptop has a PCI express motherboard? If it comes with PCI will it automatically be express or do they stil manufacture the reg PCI boards?

post the type of laptop it is and maybe we can check that for you...or you can download CPU-Z which will tell you all sorts of stuff about your system including what graphics interface it uses

Laptops don't use standard motherboards, so you cant add normal PCI-E video cards.
