IDE and SATA combined?

Hi...

I'm about to buy a new computer in just a few weeks, and I was wondering about something:

In my old computer I have an 80 GB IDE HDD, and the new Mobo I'm buying is supporting SATA II... Does this mean that I can't use my old IDE HDD with this Motherboard? And, does the Mobo (Asus A8N-E) only support SATA II, or can I use Sata too?

this is the moo right? if so, you can see it has 2 IDE lots on it. so you can attach 4 IDE devices. (probably 2 optical drives, and your harddisk) o, Yes, you can use your old HD

and as far as i know,. the mobo supports also SATA. (but im not completely shure about that)

it will take IDE,SATA150,SATA300, might need driver update if it doesnt have native sata2 support.

I had to get an ide to sata convert $30... it is for a dell 8400... Pain in the ASS!
