mobo = P4C800 E Deluxe
IDE HD = Seagate Barracuda, contains OS, Win XP Pr
SATA HD = Seagate Barracuda
Originally this computer had 2 sata hd's, then the one with the OS burned up... I couldn't get the BIOS to recognize the remaining sata drive when I was reinstalling win xp. I hooked up an old ide hd and the bios did recognize it so I was able to install windows. I still for the life of me can't get the BIOS to recognize the remaining sata drive. I flashed the bios.
So my question is, is it even possible to have an IDE and SATA HD installed at the same time? If it is possible, then what do you think I'm missing? Perhaps the remaining sata hd got burnt too!
Thanks.
