I have an iDE dvd rom and wen I look in device manager and go under iDE and then open the Primary iDE device.
I see Dvice 0. this is my dvd rom.
Transfer Mode says DMA if avalible and if I dropdown the list it just has PiO.
So I keep it on DMA if avalible because I think pIO is for older iDE drives But does PiO transfer Data 32 Bits at a time???
Then under this it has Current Transfer Mode UDMA 6.
And I can't change this to anything.
Now why does Transfer Mode say DMA if avalible and Current Transfer Mode says UDMA 6.??
Sould they both say UDMA 6 or what am I missing??
