IDE to SATA

Hi All

I have an older laptop that still works great but I need to install a larger hard drive. Problem is, the internal harddrive is IDE. Is there an adaptor that I can put onto a SATA harddrive so that it will work in the internal IDE connector? I know I could rig up an external drive but I would rather replace the internal drive for convenience.

thanks:)

If there was I don't think it would work purely down to the profile size, I would stick with a standard 2.5" IDE drive, maybe old technology but there's plenty out there...

Hi Ghost

I've been looking online trying to find IDE hard drives (about 100 to 160 gig) but I'm having a hard time finding any. I can find plenty of SATA drives but very few IDE for laptops. Do you know of any places to get a SATA drive for a laptop that has a warranty longer than 30 days.

thanks again
