Identifying Computer Wiring

Please can anyone help to identify some computer wiring.

It is composed of two short pieces of black cable.
At one end of each cable is connected a 4 pin connector (type JWT) -
one connector is white and the other black.
The other ends of the cables are connected together via another 4 pin
connector (type JWT).

The connectors all appear to be female - the holes in the connectors
are very smalll - a mm or so wide.

Hence the whole assembly looks llike two way splitter wiring.

The black cable has the following stamped on it :- AWM 2791 AWG COPARTNER
The cable with the white connector has the following stamped on it :- LL04667

I tried. Unfortunately my picture was too big to be accepted.

Do you know, please, what is the maximum size of a JPG file that can be accepted ?

Host it somewhere like imageshack or imgur or similar. I don't recall the limits here, but they will be much smaller

Just upload the pic to a file sharing site and give us the link to it. Something like imgur, photobucket, etc.

Are you running like machines running xp or earlier? Any modern system from vista on should be using sata connections which dont need those audio cables. Even a lot of xp systems was using sata.

It was a way to play audio cds before the data could be sent over the computers bus.

You really didn't need them if you had a drive made in or later than like the early 90s. Prior to that, you either had to plug speakers or headphones into the jack on the front of the cd drive or have a cable like that to get the sound to your sound card.
