Hey guys i need some help. Well, actually my friend needs help. Her ex bf is basically destroying her life because he stole some of her password. I need to know if there would be ANY way to get those back. Hes gotten into her yahoo mail account and her myspace account. Neither company will do anything because she cannot prove that she was the original creater of those accounts. Is there anything to be done here? PLEASE this guy is writing her family and saying vulgar things to them, acting like he is her. Its bad, and we need help. Police say they cant do anything about it...Which is crap so...they asked me to try somethings out.
 
To get them back probably not but I would scan her computer with Adaware, Spybot,Windows Defender and also Ewido anti-spyware because he probably put something on her computer that records all of her key strokes. Oh and by the way when you download and install those programs, make sure they get updated.

And if after if those programs find stuff, I would remove everything but then I will also get a firewall. I recomend Zonealarm or Comodo like this if her ex bf has remote access to her computer she will get a warning to allow this person to remotely connect to her computer and all she has to do after is select "Deney" and the person wont' have remote access. If you need more help, post back and I or someone else on this forum will help you more.

And one last thing. After all these steps are done, make sure she changes all of her passwords.

yeah i told her to do all that earlier this morning. I know about sypware and keyloggers n such. But man...its bad, like REALLY bad. And this jerk wont stop, and we cant get him to stop. I would just nuke his computer, but hardly anyone is on static ip anymore.
 
So go around his house and give him a good beating? lol.. but on the other hand, you might find it a stupid suggestion but a lot of people that take over other peoples accounts never seem to alter the secret question + answer, tried them? That is if those sites have them.
 
well i would go up there AND beat him down, but she is about a 10 hour drive away in sacramento. The guy has little man syndrome, hes like 5'2" and thinks hes all bad n crap....gah i hate this...so theres NO WAY to get these accounts either deleted or get her passwords back?
 
Not from where your standing no, as you alerady stated most/all companies will not do a thing for you. All i can suggest is make new accounts and notify all of your/her mates to switch to the new ones. Failing that, get over to his house and give him a good talking to (with fists of course)
