IE is not acting right; can't download or use active x

Whenever I try to click on an object like in panda active scan, nothing happens. It just sits there. Why can't active x work?
 
It could be because your security settings are set too high. To check open ie and go to tools->Internet options-> Privacy tab and check to see if it is on medium. If it isn't on medium bring it down to medium and then it might work. Oh and by the way are you using sp2(service pack 2)
 
Yep I'm using SP2 and I've brought all of the settings to medium and that didn't work. I also tried putting them lower but that also did not work. Thanks for the suggestions though! Is there anything else I could try?
 
Since you are using sp2 is there a little thing that goes right underneeth the address bar that says something about installing an active x. If it does click on it and click on install active x. That should make it work. If it doesn't then I don't know what is wrong with it.

If it is the new Beta version I think it is happening to eveyone, I have been fighting with it for days now. The only thing that I found to get it to work is A) Not using it and going to FireFox B) Reformatting and putting the original back in . That is the only way it works for me.
