Ie Opens Up Up To 30 Windows On Its Own..help!

sometimes my internet explorer jus randomly opens windows consecutively without stopping forcing me to log off and log back on for it to stop..any suggestions?
 
Sounds like some adware or virus. Have you done a scan recently? If not, I would recommend Ad-Aware SE and AVG Free.
 
Scan for viruses/adware.
Also, when is it doing it? When you are browsing internet or as soon as you log on?
 
reminds me of the good old feliz navidad virus that plagued me at my old job's (years ago) email server.
 
yea wen im using it and say for example i click search on ebay..it will load the page then random windows will start opening of the same page. i'll do a scan with norton and run sum ad-ware programs n see wut happens
 
Hm, I got that once, but oddly it only happened after Mozilla ran an error, so mozilla shut down itself and about 50 IE popped up.
 
I guess that's a cookie, or a software that you install when you go on certain websites...might be a virus...
 
Yes definitely check the spyware ... also check that its not a simple problem like having a keyboard with a "webbrowser" button that's getting suck or something
 
nice to hear problem fixed! :) definitely make sure to run maybe a couple virus programs just in case. I know norton will catch things others cant and vice versa.
