IE Q's: how do I get rid of those annoying toolbars?!

I have downloaded a few and can't seem to get rid of them! eg. Ninemsn bar, Mywebsearch bar, etc. I uninstall them, but they are still there! Further, I turn them off and they come back on again constantly.

I find IE is intolerably slow! I now use Mozilla mostly, but at times I have reason to use IE and when I do, it drives me crazy - slow performance, it seems to be communicating with other sites (even though I have the first page set to blank) etc. HELP!

Run Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html) to get rid of those toolbars.

Or just right click on the toolbar area and uncheck them

Just to make sure: you clicked the "Fix the selected problems" after unchecking them, right? You didn't just uncheck them?

Try running SpyBot in Safe Mode if that doesn't help.
