IE8 and adobe flash player

hi. my preferred browser is IE8. however, i am having problems with adobe flash player, because it says it only works with 32 bit browsers and IE8 is 64 bit. is there an alternative flash player anywhere. thanks,,,gordon
 
As far as I know adobe has not done a 64 bit IE8 yet. Your OS has both 32/64 bit IE8. Just use the IE8 32bit.
 
i can use google chromes 32 bit browser if flash is required. i was hoping there might be an alternative flash player. i know little of these things. thanks anyway,,,gordon
 
Click start, then All Programs. 32 bit IE8 is just listed as Internet Explorer. IE8 64 bit is listed as Internet Explorer (64 bit)
 
thankyou stranglehold, that is great. i was just wondering if the 64 is more secure than the 32 bit.
