which company would you go for , for pre-built desktops? iv'e seen a few like of course alienware....cyberpowerpc...a few others i forgot the names but which would you go with and why? I love building my old comps but I really don't have the time to do that so I know i'll pay more but now I am just looking for a good company and would u go with dual vid cards or just a single and if single the ultra or 8800 gtx? if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it...I want to customize the pc too so if anyone would like to lend some advice after picking the company greatly appreciate it...im going to be using this for just gaming really...im now looking to spend the max 5000 around there but if i can get a sweet comp for gaming for around 3000 something i'll do that and i can upgrade the ram and video card at a later date but either which way i would like to know which company would you order from ...thanks for the help and your time for reading this

Alienware would be for gamers and overclockers that want to take the legwork of finding the sweet spot of their computer. Apparently they sell computes with hand picked chips and stuff like that to ensure that you can overclock it by a lot. Dell would be a company for someone on a budget.

I strongly advise buying a branded PC as you usually pay AT LEAST 25% more.

I've only ever heard bad things about Alienware and even worse things about their support if you need to use it.

It doesn't take long to build a pc, what takes time is finding the exact hardware you want at the right price lol

Building PCs is nothing, its picking the parts, i spent about a week trying to decide what parts to get, that is what will take up most of your time if you wnat to hand pick a pc.

Go for Alienware, i dont know about there support all i know is one of my dad's mates has got one and its the fastest thing i've ever seen in my life, Alieware do good PCs, if your in budget get one of theirs

I am in Texas...and I want to build myself but I work for toyota and I repair the body....which means my hands and body are extremely tired, especially my hands so thought it would be just easier if i just brought pre-built and i would go with building one myself but i dont want to spend the money and then screw it up...lol...i havent built a comp since i was 16 and i had some trouble than now im 26 and i know a lil more. but still scared ill scre w it up or ill get pissed that i cant do it...than ill go to work and kick a tundra and get fired...so yea..lol jk...is it easy to build? im worried actually about installing a liquid cooling system because i would like to go with QX6700 or X6800 ...im guessing quad would be best right? im not sure how much cooling i need and stuff like that...sad...if anyone would like to help somone with not that much experience in buying the rigth stuff let me know ill shut up and listen =)

Well, the more the computer cost the more you're going to get ripped off. However if you REALLY need a pre-built at that budget, take a look at Alienware, Dell XPS, or maybe some custom build PC websites such as www.ibuypower.com.

Nice site, very good suggestion, but Alienware is the best quality prebuilt computer manufacturers, Dell is good but for low budget customers

If you have the money go for Dell

And again that is a nice site :)

I have a fully built comp that I am selling. Let me know if you are interested. plays all latest games at high settings.
