illegal disk...

I have been trying to recently burn in nero 7 and it tells me illegal disk every single time but if i put a cd in it will burn first time no questions asked any suggestions?
 
What are you trying to burn? Are you doing a disk copy? Are you trying to make a DVD or CD? What part of Nero do you use to try and burn?
 
i'm trying to burn the fedora core 5 dvd for one its a dvd and i just used the data dvd option on nero if i make cd's it will burn them no problems i recently flashed the firmware to the update and i got it updated but it still does not burn them
 
Do you know if the DVD is copy-write protected? And (just to make sure) do you have a DVD-RW? "CD-RW/DVD" will not burn DVDs.

to answer the first question no its not copy-write protected. Its linux its free and its core 5 from fedora they have it out for download everywhere so that isnt the problem. I have a memorex dvd+/-DLRWL1 F16. so it should work without a problem there. I got a thing with the dvd's saying you may need to update the firmware so i did and still it didnt help me
 
Have you tried any other burning software? I use deep burner basic(free) and it works great for burning linux and other data.
