I'm a moron... and I need a new motherboard & processor...

So I finally built my first computer with help from the lovely people on this forum. All was well for about a year or so... till I spilled water into my computer while watering my plant...

So it seems that I need a new motherboard & processor.

Any recommendations on where I should go from here? I'd like a good "bang for your buck" processor and I need a motherboard with a good amount of USB & at least 2 firewire ports. If it has 6 slots for ram, that would be awesome too.

Your more than likely going to need to reinstall Windows(if that's what your running)with a different mb.
How do you feel about that?

A different model of motherboard would probably cause problems. Also, I don't think Microsoft would let him reactivate it if it were a different model due to OEM licensing (unless he has a retail copy).
