Ok so i'm building a computer and just wanted to know if all the parts i'm looking at are compatible with each other AND if theres any cables i will need to buy

Motherboard: ASUS 1155 SABERTOOTH P67 REV 3.0 S/L

Processor: Intel Core i7 3820K Quad Core CPU (3.60GHz, 10MB Cache, Socket 2011, 130W, Sandy Bridge)

CPU Cooler:Thermaltake Frio CPU Cooler

Graphics Card: EVGA Nvidia GTX580 1536MB 384-Bit GDDR5 Graphics Card

What's this being used for?

The power supply isn't a good brand, look at antec, corsair, xfx, pc power and cooling, silverstone, seasonic, or nzxt

the processor is the wrong socket, look at the 2600k, but you may want to wait a month or month and a half for ivy bridge, almost 10% faster clock for clock, and they overclock better and use less power.

and where are you ordering these parts from?
 
i'm using it for gaming and looking at the stuff on amazon.co.uk but my brother knows a guy who is like a pc expert and is gonna sere if he knows a good website for computer parts. and are there any specific fans or power supply's you'd reccomend (preferably quiet but not too expensive)

for gaming a 2500k i5 will do just as good, only a handful of games can even use the i7's threading, and they might only get like 5fps more or so. and if you plan to get a second 580, go for an 800-850, if only that one then a 650-700w should be fine. But i'd recomend going down to the 2500k then putting that 100 towards a HD7970, they're faster at everything.
 
I'm thinking of building an ASUS too.. Have you looked inside the Epsilon box..? I doubt it gets any better than that, and only a hundred bucks... I had a look at the components.. They are a big Wow...

Me thinks you wants to get a much larger power supply then you thinks you need.. at least 200 watts more.. If you get just what you need, you'll probably be replacing it in 6-months..
 
they are, all recent mobo's run a variation of the pci-e x16 slot, some 2.0 others 3.0, and the only diff is 3.0 can go faster, but right now only 2 cards get anything from 3.0 and that's only doing professional apps like CAD.
