Hi Guys! Me and dad are building a desktop computer! So we are waiting for the ram to come,(from eBay)

and we dont know what monitor we should get, i will have the computer on my small desk, and i dont have much space, so i dont know what affordable screen i should get. Any one have a idea?

AND, do you have any tops in general?

Asus or Acer. Monitors these days don't take up much space anymore since they are flat screens and not the big heavy things of the past.

do you have any tops in general?

English please? What do you mean by tops?

If you care about quality get an IPS display. For gaming get a low response time, and a high refresh rate.

I was trying to say "Tips". anyways, I am not trying to do gaming( My family does not play video games) and more interested in Programming, virtual machines, etc.

And Im trying to stay on the not so costly side as well.

Update: The Ram came today! we already have the hard drives and stuff. BUT please note: The hard drives DO NOT have a OS installed, so i am trying to boot aff a usb stick with linux mint. so i pluged in the ram, and pluged in the keyboard and the mouse, and the screen. and than pressed the power button. But a got nothing, just a blank screen that said no signal. NOTE: the mother board and the video card where laying around for about a year. But a think the problem is the video card.

please help in the reply's below! and, Sorry if there are typos. im not good at typing.

thanks
