Yeah I had a performance question on nvidia 7900 gt cards... How much difference would this xfx card have over this other xfx card? And are evga cards alright because I've never heard anything good or bad about them?

XFX Extreme XXX 7900 gt
Core Clock: 560Mhz

Well the core clock of the Extreme is slightly overclocked, so it is faster, whats the price difference?, that would helps us to know if its worth it. Cheers :)
 
Ya i would come down to price \ performace ratio, and if you were willing to overclock your video card yourself (very easy.)
 
Sorry about that fellas. When i can finally find the thing not sold out there will be a 50 to 70 dollar price difference just depending on where I buy from. I just added the price range up in the orginal post.

And here is my delema...I want this for the new elderscrolls oblivion which comes out this wednesday i believe. If i order the lesser card I can have it here by the time it arrives or I could wait for the better card but I don't know how long I will have to wait because I've been looking for the XFX 7900 XXX EXTREME and I haven't been able to find it anywhere at all over a week or so...so?

The (non extreme) version is suficiant for your needs, plus you can over clock it to give the performance of the extreme anyway. Hope it helps, cheers :)
